Atlanta Fire Station 2 Renovations

About this Project

After the successful completion of Atlanta Fire Station 1, Legwork Plumbing Solutions was awarded the plumbing renovations contract for Atlanta Fire Station 2. The AFRD 2 project was a direct result of the efficiency and deliverables attributed to the execution of AFRD 1’s scope.

At the height of the covid pandemic while on schedule to complete the project, just like the rest of the world, the city of Atlanta was shut down. In agreement with US Department of Homeland Security, Governor Brian Kemp deemed plumbing companies essential and qualified their workers to continue critical infrastructure operations.

Instead of utilizing the force majeure clause of its contract Legwork initiated covid protocol, staggered specialists’ schedules and updated its strategy to control the work environment. We were successful in completing this project on time and on budget. Displaced firemen returned to their station with confidence in the improvements to its operations.

Technical Details

Legwork completed upgrades to the plumbing system of Atlanta Fire Station 2: full gut and bathroom expansion along with adding an ADA bathroom.
